Our Organisational Structure: Small startup up culture of a CEO and a Creative Director, followed by a group of Leaders that look after each department, namely Sales, Design, Retail, Marketing, Production & Stock. We then have a full studio crew that handmakes all our products in house.

Job description
We are looking for a passionate and competent visual design intern that will report directly to the Head of Marketing based in Hout Bay.

Describe a typical day

  • Weekly meeting to plan the week’s tasks
  • Daily standup to ascertain what the goals are for that day
  • Assist with the rollout and execution of marketing activities, included but not limited to brand collaborations, seasonal collections and social partnerships
  • Creative direction for shoots
  • Conceptualisation of campaigns
  • Create content for social media platforms
  • Research for upcoming campaigns
  • Assist marketing manager with any issues

Experience and/or Educational Requirements. The successful candidate must have/be:

  • An eye for design
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Have a passion for the natural world
  • Strong skills in content creation and execution
  • Adobe suite competence namely
    • InDesign
    • Illustrator
    • Photoshop
  • Photography skills
  • Social media management
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficient in G-Suite
  • A strong conceptual thinker
  • Good attention to detail
  • Proactive work ethic
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Team player
