Sealand x RMB UTCT 2023
Sealand helps RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town to create positive change
2 min read
Sealand is very excited to partner with epic trail race, the RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town, which takes place this coming weekend in the beautiful mountain trails of the Cape Peninsula.
As part of our association with RMB UTCT, all 100km and 100-mile runners will be given free Sealand GIVE Bags to use as drop bags for their respective races over November 24-26, 2023. These exclusive drop bags have been specially produced from leftover recycled RMB UTCT polyester branding and will have both the Sealand and RMB UTCT logos on them. Only 450 bags were produced for the 2023 event, making it a unique and useful drop for all competitors who will be traversing some of the harshest terrain the Cape Peninsula has to offer.
“Partnering with Sealand makes complete sense to all of us at RMB UTCT as we are always striving to lessen the impact of the event on the environment,” said RMB UTCT Race Director Stuart McConnachie.
“We are looking for unique ways to create meaningful changes to the event which ultimately raises the bar for the runner. Sealand is at the forefront of limiting impact yet delivering a world-class product that we are lucky to share with our runners and volunteers.”
Sealand CEO Adrian Hewlett added: “We see a lot of similarities between ourselves (as a brand) and what RMB UTCT has achieved in a relatively short space of time.”
“Sealand stands for the environment and its people and we are excited to partner with an event that has the same values as us. We hope our drop bags come in handy and will be used with pride after the event too. Best of luck to all the competitors, we look forward to seeing you out there this weekend.”
Not only has Sealand provided drop bags for the 2023 RMB UTCT, but we will also have a retail presence at the Expo on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24.
Make sure you pop past our retail store at Gardens Rugby Club to take advantage of our exclusive RMB UTCT special offerings. (See more on that here.)
The Sealand Team will also be present at the UTCT’s Hout Bay Aid Station – under the watchful eye of the Muizenberg Trail Dawgs – on Friday and Saturday. Runners; look out for a special touch of Sealand when you will need it most!
